  • Astigmatism Correction

    A common imperfection in the eye's curvature. With astigmatism, the front surface of the eye or the lens, inside the eye, is curved differently in one direction than the other. A common symptom of astigmatism in blurry vision.

  • Diabetic Eye Exams

    A diabetic eye exam is part of a comprehensive eye exam performed by an eye care professional to check for signs of diabetic retinopathy. This condition can affect people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and can cause serious complications, including vision loss or blindness

  • Eyeglass Prescriptions

    Determining the proper glasses prescription is only half of the process. Properly fitting the prescription into a frame while exploring the latest lens enhancement in a cost-conscious manner is critical.

  • Macular Degeneration

    A degenerative condition affecting the central part of the retina (the macula) and resulting in distortion or loss of central vision.

  • After Cataracts

    Even after the most successful cataract surgery, opacification may occur behind the implant. A simple laser treatment can help return clarity to the vision.

  • Premium Implants

    Reducing the need for glasses while producing the sharpest vision is possible through the latest in implant technologies.

  • Flashes and Floaters

    Presenting suddenly, these floaters can be seen with the right lighting and background. Flashes may sometimes present in dimly lit environments. Should this be seen a proper eye exam is indicated.

Ordering the perfect pair of glasses goes far beyond picking a frame off the rack and ordering. Your Optician should be asking questions as to what your daily routine includes, if you have specific hobbies, what you are hoping to accomplish with your new glasses and making the correct lens and frame selection that fits both you and your prescription properly.

MEET DONNA

Donna began her career in the eye care field over 25 years ago.  Her primary experience was as a technician while always filling in as needed everywhere else in the office.  As a result, she became quite diverse, earning a certification as a CPO (Certified Paraoptometric) and learning all positions from front desk, insurance verifications, check out, and finally optical. This is where all of her experience combined has come together.  Donna is committed to not only assuring you will have a pair of glasses to fit your needs but will also project your style and make it a fun process along the way.

  • Progressive Lenses

    Progressive lenses are true “multifocal” lenses that provide an infinite number of lens strengths in one pair of glasses.

  • Anti-Reflective Coatings

    AR coatings virtually eliminate all reflections from the front and back surfaces of your lenses. Without bothersome reflections your vision is optimized.

  • Thinner Lenses

    We use thinner lens materials for higher prescriptions, therefore eliminating the lens width while keeping the same prescription power.

  • Computer and Piano Lenses

    Computer glasses help reduce digital screen glare and alleviate the symptoms of Digital Eye Strain including: tired and dry eyes, headaches, eyestrain, and more.

  • High-Quality Reading Glasses

    Noticeably clear, long-wearing comfortable vision for those times that you want to read for more than just a few minutes.

  • Polarized Lenses

    Polarized so it protects you from the sun’s glare. They have a solid mirror, making them a little bit darker and more protective from bright sunlight.

  • Bifocals and No-Line Bifocals

    A small portion in the lower part of the lens contains the power required to correct your near vision. The rest of the lens usually is for your distance vision.

SURGICAL SERVICES

CATARACT SURGERY LENS OPTIONS

  • Standard (single vision)

    A standard monofocal intraocular lens (IOL) has one point of focus. They are designed to provide clear vision at one focal point. Either distance or near. Typically, patients choose to have their distance vision corrected and still require glasses for near and intermediate tasks, such as reading or using a computer. If you have astigmatism, you will also find that a glasses prescription will likely be needed for all ranges of vision.

  • MonoVision

    With monovision, one eye is adjusted for distance vision (usually the dominant eye) and the other eye is adjusted for near vision. This option is not suitable for everyone. It can reduce depth perception due to the eyes being focused at different distances. It is most successful if you have been using monovision contact lenses or have had monovision LASIK. Most patients that choose this option have a reduced dependency on glasses. However, there may still be situations where glasses are still needed. Such as driving at night or in the rain and reading small print or for prolonged periods of time.

  • Correction of Astigmatism by Incision

    Limbal relaxing incisions (LRI’s) are tiny incisions that are made around the edge of the cornea to flatten its steeper axis. LRI’s treat low degrees of astigmatism in order to reduce or eliminate the need for distance vision glasses.

  • Correction of Astigmatism by Implant

    A toric IOL is a lens implant that corrects astigmatism. Toric IOL’s have the ability to reduce or or eliminate corneal astigmatism at the time of cataract surgery and significantly improve uncorrected distance vision. A person that has both cataracts and astigmatism will not regain quality uncorrected vision unless the astigmatism is addressed at the time of surgery. These lenses have special hash marks on the lens so that it can be optimally oriented during surgery. Once inside the eye, it is rotated for its optimal alignment. Toric IOL’s are considered a premium implant and there is an additional cost for this upgrade. However, you might find that having an astigmatism correcting lens may save you money in the long run and is generally well worth it.

  • Correction of Presbyopia by Implant

    Presbyopia correcting implants are not for everyone, however, if you are a candidate, the benefits generally outweigh the risks. There are a wide variety of implants to choose from and what’s best for you depends on several factors including your lifestyle and your specific visual needs.

    These implants allow patient to enjoy clearer vision from a wider range of distances. With these implants accurate focus at any distance is compromised to achieve less noticeable blur at all distances. There is no guarantee that you will be glasses-free after surgery but they are designed to decrease or eliminate your dependence on glasses.

    Each lens has its own set of advantages and limitations, which should be carefully considered before making your decision. The doctor will assess your needs and preferences to determine the best option for you. All of these implants are also available in toric version.

    These implants are not covered by insurance so there will be an out of pocket expense.
